On this occasion, the shopping mall in D\u00fcren was open until midnight and numerous visitors found their way into the city centre. In the shopping mall, visitors to the Festival of Lights received glowsticks and free copies of the D\u00fcrener newspaper. They also had the chance to take part in a raffle and to take out a free test subscription to the D\u00fcrener newspaper at the stand of the Aachen newspaper publisher.
